Light City 1.4
- Fixes the header alignment bug on Macs (finally), though not beautifully.
- Fixes the jarring visual difference in line height between link post names and post titles.
A simple, beautiful theme.
I’ve been noticing things about this theme ranging from the not-so-perfect to the terribly wrong, so I’ve fixed them! (I’ve actually been making subtle changes for a while now; I itemized the last major set here, on my main tumblelog, where I usually ramble about these things.)
To read my commit history since then, I’ve made the following changes:
body style definition for those people who seem to prefer the serif fonts used in the headers to the sans serif fonts. My “increment whenever you submit to the theme garden” versioning scheme puts these changes in version 1.3, which of course means that I’ll be submitting these updates to Tumblr just as soon as I’ve finished writing this post to use in the new screenshot!
Many thanks to nosmo, takamori, and jtt, who have all indirectly alerted me to issues, and rorymarinich, who told me about the Mac bug; my apologies to everyone who has probably been annoyed by the ugliness. Also, to the people who use my theme and have followed me: thank you! It’s very cool to see it in use!
I should also have mentioned in my first post here that if you find anything wrong or unlikeable about my theme, you’re invited to open an issue in the bug tracker; I’ve been doing so when I’ve found things that needed fixing. Alternatively, you can feel free to email me with problems or comments or suggestions or whatever you like!
A song from the Korean drama My Girl. Again, testing some changes.
Here’s Garnet Crow’s “風とRAINBOW”. (I needed to post a video to test some fixes!)
And you’re looking at it.
Its aim is to be as described: a simple, beautiful theme. Its few colors are customizable, and it supports custom CSS. No effort is made to include anything social—notes, followed blogs, comments—but you’re welcome to grab the latest version from my GitHub and use and modify it as you like!
